The Big Sister Mentorship Program is designed to nurture, guide, and uplift young girls as they grow into confident, self-aware young women. Our mission is to help girls ages 5 to 16 develop strong foundations in mental health, self-awareness, focus, and resilience.
Through caring mentorship, group activities, and one-on-one support with a BIG SISTER we teach girls how to stay on track when facing life’s challenges, build positive self-esteem, and recognize their unique value and potential. Our mentors are role models who lead with love, patience, and purpose.
More than just a program—it’s a sisterhood that encourages each girl to thrive emotionally, socially, and spiritually.

I AM HER Women’s Program

The I AM HER Program is a powerful and transformative initiative created for women ages 18 and up. Rooted in faith, purpose, and sisterhood, this program is designed to promote self-sufficiency, spiritual growth, and personal empowerment—guiding women toward the brighter path they deserve.
Through a combination of life skills training, empowering workshops, transitional housing, and essential resources, I AM HER helps women elevate their mindset, embrace healing, and align with the vision they’ve always held for themselves. This is more than a program—it’s a movement to help women become whole, focused, and free.

Community Service Program
Serving the Community with Purpose and Pride
Our Community Service Program provides meaningful volunteer opportunities for individuals who need to complete community service hours for high school graduation, college requirements, class credit, or court-ordered obligations.
At Banded Gracious Women Reborn, Inc., we believe in turning service into empowerment. Volunteers play an active role in a variety of tasks, including:
*Clerical and office support
*Assisting with community outreach
* Resource and community distributions
*Participating in neighborhood beautification efforts
As part of our commitment to keeping our city clean, we’ve proudly adopted 10 GoRaleigh bus shelters, where volunteers help maintain cleanliness and pride in our community spaces.
If you or someone you know is in need of community service hours, we’re here to help you fulfill that requirement in a structured and supportive environment.

Camp I AM MEE is a safe, fun, and purpose-driven Summer Day Camp designed specifically for girls ages 5 to 12. Our mission is to inspire the next generation of young women by promoting:

Free transportation is offered only to families without access to reliable transportation and must be scheduled in advance. This service is provided to ensure that all girls have the opportunity to attend camp safely and on time.

The IME (Inspire, Motivate, Empower) Program is a nurturing space for young girls ages 5 through 12 to grow in confidence, character, and purpose. Through mentorship, enrichment activities, and positive guidance, we help each girl recognize her value, build strong foundations, and become a leader in her own story. IME is more than a program—it’s a safe place where girls are celebrated, supported, and inspired to shine.

At Her Horizon, we believe that every woman and girl deserves a second chance at life, safety, and success. This home will be more than a shelter—it will be a place of restoration, empowerment, and transformation.
